One day in April, when I had just arrived at SSF to volunteer, I went to do my daily yoga practice on the veranda. Not before long, a group of girls were copying my every bend and stretch.

Cambodian may be known for many things- the sights, the food or even THE war, but what one may not be immediately be prepared for is the dedication of the students here. Come rain or shine, it would be normal to see throngs of students on bicycles cycling kilometers away just to go to class.

SSF has always been committed about believing in equal rights for all children to receive education. Therefore, classes held have remained virtually open to all children, as long as conditions like class availability, non-excessive class size and availability of teachers permit.

The SAO SARY FOUNDATION is a nonreligious, non-political,and independent humanitarian organization devoted to ending human trafficking and helping poor children and families gain economic independence in impoverished communities.  SSF centers around our children; thus, child sponsorship is our basic foundation.
SSF was founded in 2006 and officially recognized by the national government of the Kingdom of Cambodia as a non-profit organization in 2007.

SSF is fully registered with the Ministry of Interior (MOI) of the Kingdom of Cambodia as a Non-Governmental Organization. We are a non-religious, non-political, and independent organization. Our head office is located in the central province of Kampong Speu Province, Kingdom of Cambodia. SSF is also in the process of signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation (MOSVY) of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

SSF believes in a proactive approach in protecting children from any form of violence, exploitation and abuse. Rather than waiting until it’s too late, SSF strives to identify at risk children and provide sustainable assistance to both the
